2.what is the typical brew speed time on this coffee pot, and how often is it recommended to clean the system. We live in the country and have well water.

Ans: We are happy to assist you with your inquiry regarding the Ninja® 12-Cup Programmable Brewer CE251 Coffee Maker. It takes approximately 12 to 15 minutes to brew a full carafe. If it takes longer than that, we recommend running a clean cycle.

3.What size disposable filter does it use?

Ans: We would like to inform you that the Ninja® 12-Cup Programmable Brewer CE251 Coffee Maker includes a Permanent Filter. With this being said, you can use a #4 paper cone filter instead of the Permanent Filter.

4.Will this coffee maker shut off automatically?

Ans: It will go into Sleep Mode...to turn it completely off click the power button at the base and the light will go out. Only when the unit is still on...... You can adjust the "Stay Warm " feature to your liking....to do so...press and hold in the "Stay Warm" button...you will quickly see a '2'....then a '3'....then a '4' ( they are for the # of hours you wish coffee to "Stay Warm"...choose the 2 hrs, the 3 hours or 4 hours then quickly tap the "Stay Warm" button again and now you are set. You can change this again anytime you wish just repeat the procedure. I keep mine on 4 hours all the time and it will not 'burn' your coffee at that 4-hour setting- still smooth and tasteful

5.Is the plastic PBA free?

6.Is there a thermal carafe option?

Ans: There is not a thermal option in this model.

7.What is carafe height? (bottom to the top of the plastic)

Ans:  Just the carafe is approximately 7", the whole unit is about 14.5"
